In August, I posted on Facebook that I was making masks and donating 50% of each mask to Smasherson.  Smasherson is a charity started by Emerson Podojil's parents after she passed away from brain cancer at
the age of 11.  Thanks to you,   I have had the most amazing response and raised almost $900.

All funds raised go directly to children fighting pediatric cancer.  As these families face the unimaginable, Smasherson Foundation is a nonprofit that helps with research and brightening the day of patients going through both radiation and chemotherapy.  I would love it if you could continue to support this most deserving charity and protect yourself from COVID at the same time.  I created this blog to help display my current inventory of masks and material.

Each mask is $6 for kids and $8 for adults.  I do charge an additional $1 for sports team and character material (as the cost of material is higher).  I also will ship mask to any location in the US, I just ask for an additional $0.50 per mask.

Currently I have 3 styles:

The first (Style #1) is the most popular, pleated style.  It is easy to fit as it is expandable.  I make sizes based on the individual.  Typically speaking I have a kids size and an adult size but I do adjust based on the age.  For example, middle school, 9th and 10th graders I usually add an inch to the kids size.  If you are a large adult like my husband I will typically add an inch or two to the adult size.

The second (Style #2) comes in Child (S, M, and L) and Adult (S, M and L).  I have gotten pretty good about know what sizes is needed for each person.  This style has the option for a Filter Pocket.  I find that 4 years and younger are a Child's Small, 5 - 8 are a Child's Medium, 9 - 12 are a Child's Large, 13 and petite adults are Adult Small, most average adult females are Adult Medium and Adult Males are Large.

The third (Style #3) comes in Extra Small, Small, Medium, Large and Extra Large.  This is the style with the most coverage.  It goes under your chin so if you do a lot of talking you want to make sure the size is on the bigger side so it doesn't come to far down when you talk animatedly.  For reference I'm a Medium and my husband is an Extra Large.  This and Style #1 are our favorite styles!

All mask can be made with 2 or 3 layers and can include a nose wire if desired.  I have found that the nose wire helps to keep the mask in place.  I enforce the edges of the nose wire so washing the mask repeatedly should not be an issue.  All mask will have adjustable straps.

***NEW*** Style #4 is a clear mask.  Made with two layers.  The clear layer is a vinyl.  It is not porous but the material around it allows it to be breathable.  You can also make it gap on the side to allow additional air in as needed.  Perfect for teachers or for those hard of hearing.  These mask are $10 each.

All above mask are kids size style #1 with NO nose wire.  All have an adjustable straps except the top mask.

Both pictures above are kids size style #1 with nose wire.  All have adjustable straps except the top two mask in the first picture (which I no longer have that material).  In the second picture the Minecraft, Harry Potter, Frozen and Harry Potter mask would be an extra $1 (character mask).

All mask above are adult style #1.  Top two have adjustable strap and bottom two do not.

Above mask are kids style #2 with NO wire.  Black mask is a Kids Large, two middle masks are Kids Medium and bottoms is Kids Small.  All have adjustable straps.

Above mask are kids style #2 with wire.  Top two are Kids Large, middle are Kids Medium and bottom one is Kids Small.  All have adjustable straps.

Above mask are Adult style #2 all with nose wires.  Far left is Adult Small, middle is Adult Medium and single mask on right is Adult Large.

Style #3, no nose wire, 2 layers and size extra small.

B
oth Halloween mask above are style #3, with nose wire, 2 layers in size Small.  They are made with knit material so have a little stretch.

Current Material

Note:  You can click on the pictures to see them bigger.

Two of the most popular prints for HR Students!  A pig print for Emerson and material that matches the older uniforms.

Disney Prints, all prints in this picture are an extra $1 per mask ($7 for Kids and $9 for Adults).   Note:  Frozen material is flannel so I suggest one layer of the Frozen material and one layer of cotton (2 total layers).  For the Marvel prints let me know your favorite character so I can make sure it is centered on the mask.

Character Prints, all prints in this picture are an extra $1 per mask ($7 for Kids and $9 for Adults). Rescue Bots material is flannel so I suggest one layer of the Frozen material and one layer of cotton (2 total layers).  Top left Pokemon and top right Harry Potter are a knit print - I like to make those in style #3, 2 layers, with nose wire and adjustable strap.

This is a special Disney Pixar Character print that due to cost of the material is $8 for Kids and $10 for adults.

My favorite way to make this specific print is style #3 with just two layers.  It is 95% Cotton and 5% Lycra so has a little stretch to it.  I also would include a nose wire and make it adustable.

Sports Prints, all prints in this picture are an extra $1 per mask ($7 for Kids and $9 for Adults).

Blue Unicorn is a knit print.  As mentioned above this works well as two layers in style #3.

The cameo print on the far right is knit.

Animal print in top left is knit material.

Tie die material is a little thicker so I suggest just two layers.

All Halloween prints are knit prints.

Patriotic/military/1st Responder Prints

New material as of 9/18/20

This material is glow in the dark (see picture below).  Note it is a flannel like material but I would only do it in two layers with the second layer being a thin cotton.  Do not recommend for school but would work fine elsewhere.
New material as of 10/10/20
